Hayley & Jonathan, July 17, 2010 {Chico Wedding Photographer}

I finally got to do a kilt wedding - yay! Hayley & Jonathan got married Saturday at the Arroyo Room in Chico, a lovely venue I hadn't seen in a few years. Yes, they do have air conditioning, though with outside temps over 100 it was tough keeping up in such a large banquet room. Hayley's bridesmaids did a superb job of strategically applying ice packs...if she ever broke a sweat, I couldn't tell. Food was excellent, courtesy of Excalibur Catering...yum! My friend Lisa of As You Like It Weddings officiated -- I'm always so happy to see her. Hayley looked amazing and wore the most exquisite dress. Jon and his guys -- even the littlest ones -- wore kilts.

Chico has so many beautiful places that we didn't need to walk far for our "alone time" -- right across the street for a fast couples session, then back for dancing.
