I admit: I was a stick in the mud. A curmudgeon. I did not want to deal with the frightful traffic which typically attends the annual 4th of July Fireworks Show in Redding. However, kids (yes, I only have one but somehow there are usually several around) would hear nothing of it.
Off we went and lucked into a fine spot at Caldwell Park with a view. No problem parking!
Capturing the fireworks became my challenge of the night! Most were shot at 1/30 to 1/60 of a second, ISO 400, f/1.8. Perfect!
There was even a lone DAFFODIL display. A lone daffodil!! It was amazing. Possibly it wasn't intended to be a daffodil, but that's what it looks like to me! What do you think?
This was one of those times I'm glad I was talked into going.
A few highlights -- literally !!
